All these recorders have proved invaluable in many and varying situations and Stefan Kudelski has therefore received important awards, among others the following:

- 1965 Technological Oscar in Hollywood for the NAGRA III
- 1967 SMPTE Award for the NAGRA III
- 1972 Alan B. Gordon Award for the NAGRA SNN
- 1977 Technological Oscar in Hollywood for the NAGRA 4.2L
- 1979 Technological full Oscar in Hollywood for the entire NAGRA line
